The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his own means, entering the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
