The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The influential video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday morning, according to.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
