It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a team that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if never given the opportunity.

Finally, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to create her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 championship victory arrived three months after her bow and seven world titles have followed from 10 attempts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the winning streak.

That loss "drove us to rethink our standards," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

If this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Certain people claim the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in the nets, it was a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"But once you take the field, your fighting spirit activate and you simply focus on the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and after that Healy was underway.

"A chance to play and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was out Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.
