Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. This character can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and anime.

The new cast member is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, such as leader the main antagonist, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of Alabasta.

Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
