Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water supplies, as stated by city officials.
Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.
Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.
The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.
A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.
Area administrators said the urban area endured heavy assaults overnight. A young boy died and three other people were injured.
The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.
All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.
National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting energy systems.
He said energy workers and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
