Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any impact is uncertain and the United States has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - said they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.

It said missile fragments landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
